I am excited that our young church plant will get a chance to hear my hero preach on Mother’s Day. My father, Danny Akin, is my biggest hero. He is the man that first pointed me to Christ and he is the man that I seek out for wisdom in almost of all of life’s major decisions. I think we will be blessed as a church to hear him this coming Sunday on the topic of Parenting from Ephesians.
My dad is the president of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. In addition, he speaks on issues related to the family all over the country. He has written several books (you can find more of his resources at danielakin.com), including one on marriage entitled, God on Sex (I wont discuss here what it is like to have a father write a book with that title) and his newest one, Ten Who Changed the World.
