Year One Anniversary

September 9th we’ll be gathering at Falls Lake, Beaverdam Recreation Area to celebrate our 1st anniversary through corporate worship, baptism and a pig pickin’! Corporate worship will begin at 10:30am and the pig pickin’ will follow at 12pm. Pigs, lemonade and water will be provided, but we need your help with the sides and desserts. Last names A – J, please bring a dessert; K – Z, please bring a side dish. Remember, all dishes will need to come ready to serve as we do not have storage or cooling/heating capabilities. You can also bring drinks in addition to your side/dessert. You’ll also want to bring chairs, blankets and anything fit for a fun day at the lake.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW/BRING:
• Entrance to Beaverdam Recreation Area is on Hwy 50, 3 miles north of Hwy 98. For the GPS savvy among you, here are the coordinates: 36° 2’6.67″N, 78°41’6.36″W.
• IDC will cover the cost of parking so please tell the person at the guard gate you are with Imago Dei. Carpools are encouraged to help keep the cost down, and build community!
• Corporate Worship will be at the Swimming Beach (follow the signs once you’re in the park). Lunch will be served at Shelter 21. There is a large parking lot between the beach area and the shelter, and also a smaller one next to the shelter. You can drop off your food at the shelter prior to corporate worship or store in you car and pick it up on the way to the shelter from the beach.
• Bring chairs and blankets for corporate worship & lunch. There is a large field next to the shelter, so bring your lawn games and ready yourself for some fun and competition!
• Falls Lake is open for swimming, so pack accordingly. There are bathrooms next to the beach and also near the shelter.
