Our desire at Imago Dei is to see lives changed by the gospel, and indeed it is our desire that this will take place “in the whole world.” We long to see this gospel, which is bearing fruit in the body life of IDC, bearing fruit throughout our nation and all the nations. In light of this desire, IDC annually takes up a Christmas Missions Offering to carry out the Planting of Churches and Evangelization of the World from our PEACE Plan. This year’s offering will go directly into the hands of church planters. 50% of it will go directly into the hands of church planters in unreached people groups among the nations who are working where Christ has not already been named. This money will go directly to support planters like the family we partner with in East Asia. They are laboring to plant a church among a people that has never had a church planted among them. The other 50% of this offering will go into the hands of church planters we will send out of Imago Dei to plant nationally. Right now, IDC is considering two plants in 2014 – one in Chapel Hill and one in the Northeast.
We hope that you will prayerfully consider how you will give to this offering above and beyond your normal giving during this Christmas season as we consider the coming of our Savior and the hope that all the peoples of the World will experience the joy of this fruit bearing gospel.
