Dear Imago Dei Family,
On behalf of the Elders, we want to say how grateful we are for you. We praise God for your “faith in the Lord Jesus and your love toward all the saints” (Eph 1:15).
Indeed, we see many evidences of God’s grace in our faith family. This includes your willingness to serve, welcome others, befriend your neighbors, and invite guests over for corporate worship on Sundays. You have done such a great job that we are now out of space!
As it has been announced we will be moving to two services starting at 9am and 11am this Sunday October 21. With this in mind, let me make a few points:
- This is a temporary change. We don’t want to have multiple services in the future. We have no plans in being a multi-site church either. We hope to plant churches in the Triangle, and you will hear more about that in the future. This leads to the next point….
- We are searching daily for a larger space. We have spent hours looking for larger facilities over the past several months. We are in need of a space that will hold about 600 people. We have some possible options, but nothing concrete. Pray for us to find the right space at the right place at the right price. As you know, we are not a wealthy church, and we’re limited in what we can afford.
- You will be receiving instructions about the serving schedule in the next few days. Thanks for your flexibility and willingness to serve.
- Keep inviting and bringing your friends! This change will open up a lot of seats.
- Below is the recommended Growth Group “assignments” for our two corporate worship services beginning this Sunday, Oct. 21. While it isn’t mandatory that individuals attend the service with their Growth Group as indicated below (especially if they are scheduled to serve in Child Care for that service that day), we would strongly encourage you to do so. This will help us not have one service more crowded than the other, and it will also spread out the little ones needing child care between the early and late services. In addition, it will facilitate members of the same Growth Group being able to worship together on Sunday mornings.
Early: Darst, Harvey, Haugh, Thigpen, Lumpkin, Foshee
Late: Rogers, Brown, Humphrey, Shaddix, Raynor, Palka, Hollis
God has made his face shine upon us this year. May we continue to seek his face, as we labor to reach RDU and the nations with the gospel of Jesus.
Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
Ephesians 3:20-21
Laboring with You,
Pastor Tony
