On Wednesday, September 11th beginning at 6:30 PM Imago Dei will be hosting an “Eve with Steve.” We are incredibly blessed to have one of our yodas coming to spend an evening with us. For those of you non Star Wars fans, Yoda is a character from the 1980’s movies responsible for training Jedi knights and leaders including Luke Skywalker.
Steve Timmis is the co-founder of The Crowded House, a network of churches committed to the Gospel Word and Gospel Community, the co-director of the Porterbrook Network, an initiative that trains church planters, as well as the director of Acts 29 in Western Europe. Steve’s book, Total Church, and leadership have greatly influenced a part of the DNA of Imago Dei Church. We value his friendship and are deeply honored that he offered to make a trip to visit with our faith family.
Additionally, there are some important things you need to know about Steve Timmis that you may not hear elsewhere: Steve enjoys rap music and is a stud athlete. And yes, we will be serving English Tea. Therefore, we hope you will make plans to join us this Wednesday as Steve talks about Gospel and Community!
