Last weekend, the Imago Dei worship team had the opportunity to step outside the church walls and proclaim the gospel through song and word to our community. IDC participated in Triangle Town Center’s Second Annual Holiday Music Festival on Saturday, December 10th. Triangle Town Center is one of the largest malls in the Raleigh area, and is located less than two miles from our current meeting location. This provided us an excellent opportunity to reach the people in our community right where they are.
The emphasis of the song set was heavy on gospel-centered Advent songs, interlaced with worship songs that clearly exalted Christ as the fulfillment of what Advent is all about. Our worship leader, Donnie, read scripture and proclaimed the gospel boldly in between songs, and the members that came out to show support were able to invite many to our weekly gatherings as well as our Christmas Eve service.
We are so grateful to Triangle Town Center for letting us take part in this event and particularly to the management that so graciously allowed us to invite folks to our services. We are always grateful and beyond blessed for the opportunity to share the Gospel with those outside the walls of our church. If you weren’t able to make it out and rejoice in Advent the Imago Dei way, don’t worry! You can still join us for our Christmas Eve service, Saturday, December 24 at 6pm, to celebrate the coming of our long-awaited Savior.
