then shall your light rise in the darkness and
your gloom be as the noonday. And the LORD will guide you continually and satisfy your desire in scorched places and make your bones strong;
and you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail. And your ancient ruins shall be rebuilt;
you shall raise up the foundations of many generations;
you shall be called the repairer of the breach, the restorer of street to dwell in.” Isaiah 58:10-12
The month of January at Imago Dei Church, we have been working through our mission to know, grow and go. We want to know and experience our Creator deeper through His Word; grow in the image and likeness of Christ; and go share the redemptive story of grace and hope found through Jesus in both word and deed.
This February, we begin “Out of Egypt: the Gospel of Jesus Christ in Exodus” tracing themes of God’s deliverance, redemptive grace and majestic glory ultimately displayed through Jesus Christ. We will dig deeper into the reality that just as Christ humbled himself by taking the form of a servant, he provided the example of how we are to live in the world. Here is a look ahead at some opportunities to engage the world through our global “P.E.A.C.E.” plan, focusing on “Care for the Orphan and the Oppressed”:
