I think we all can admit that middle school…well…was a weird time. Everything seems to be constantly changing, sin and responsibility come to the fore, and altogether…it is a whole lot of scary. For girls, the frustration is especially unique because God made girls especially unique. In our Imago Dei family, we are so thankful for the beauty and character of God that is reflected in our girls and our women. The Lord made them with spiritual gifts and hearts that are a reflection of His, and our hope is that the Holy Spirit will cultivate those hearts to know Him more, to grow up in His Word, and then go tell the word of His captivating grace.
Here enters “G3”—(“G-three!”). Or otherwise known as: Girls Growth Group! The Imago Dei elders have set aside a special time each week for girls in grades 4-8 to share a meal together, discuss the sermon, and have fun in fellowship with one another! Starting here, these young women will cultivate an understanding of living in community with one another— an understanding, we pray, which will continue through their high school years, college years, and beyond.
What: Girls Growth Group (“G-three!”)
When: Thursday evenings from 5:45pm— approx. 7:30pm
Where: Kami Mueller’s apartment. Call (765)-215-1334, or email for address and directions.
How To Pray For G3: Pray that these girls feel a safety and comfort with their leaders, each other, and their special space each week. Pray that the Lord will soften their hearts to hear His Truth, to grow and be challenged by the Word and one another. Pray that if they do not already, that they would know and believe the Gospel- that the Lord would choose them to know His heart and His character. Pray for Kami and other leaders that they would shepherd these girls well and with great intention. Finally, pray that God would be glorified every week in their thoughts, words, and deeds.
It is truly an exciting kick-off for our fabulous Imago Dei girls! If you are interested in serving by cooking a meal for the Thursday night meetings, or in any other way, just let Kami know. We at Imago Dei are thankful that these girls will have their own special growth group, and we pray that God builds it to be a sweet time of fellowship that honors Him.
