Several weeks ago IDC embarked on collecting a special Christmas Missions Offering, the purpose of which was to raise funds to support international missionaries as well as future church planters to be sent out from Imago Dei. More specifically, offerings and special gifts received in December designated for “Missions” will be split evenly between supporting international missionaries through the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering and IDC’s brand new North American Church Planting Fund.
We are extremely grateful to God to report that IDC members and others gave very generously to this special offering – much better than we even hoped. In total IDC raised $11,933 for missions in December. A check for half of that has already been mailed for the Lottie Moon Offering; and the other half is being moved into a new bank account specifically designated for use in supporting IDC’s future North American church plants. We will continue to raise funds for this account through regular missions offerings, fund raisers and direct contributions from IDC’s general funds.
